Which is why I wonder sometimes if I should stop making such a big deal about my little problems. Problems such as if we get a couple of documents completed or receive a few extra dollars to use toward our adoption fees. There are ENORMOUSLY greater problems in this world that demand His attention. I won’t even begin to list them; the list would be endless, anyhow.
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” James 1:2
In case you haven’t guessed by now, we had another snag in our paperwork. This time it’s my fault. A little glitch that is wreaking havoc on several of our documents. Because I changed jobs and then went back to my old company in a part-time capacity in the middle of last year (that’s another story all in itself), we are having a tough time aligning our financial paperwork because my salary and income is more complicated than I originally thought for 2011. Our sweet, patient social worker and I have exchanged a dozen emails in the past 24 hours and I think we are getting to the point of figuring this all out. I am waiting to hear back from her now (I check my email and phone every 10 seconds and forget to breathe a lot) and am praying that this will be resolved and we can move forward.
In the midst of this, I thought I would share a couple of reminders of God’s goodness that I have received over the past couple of days. These reminders were clearly given to me by the Holy Spirit as a testament to the truth that in ALL things God works for the good of those who love Him.
“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” John 15:7
This all seems like just yesterday when I look back at these photos…
