I wanted to quickly post a little recap of yesterday’s adventure – flying solo with the boys.
I wanted to get this all documented so I don’t forget any of the details. Forget…or mentally block for my own sanity as I still have to fly back home.
Here is a photo recap…sorry for the poor quality of the images, I didn’t have room in my bags for my big camera. I had to pack important things, like snacks and extra diapers.
This is Nathan’s very serious “watch out other passengers” look:
And, snacks to eat! (And, thank you to the sweet man working at the snack counter for the delicious chocolate chip cookies).
And, planes to watch!
I will say that my well-thought out plan to skip afternoon naps in order to ensure sleepy heads on the plane was not fairing well with this long delay. We started to fall apart when Ben fell on the moving sidewalk and chipped both of his front teeth. Coincidentally, Nathan chipped his front tooth in the bath tub about a year ago. They both have crazy front teeth now. Great. We are that family.
After the tooth incident (poor Ben…he is a trooper!), Nathan took to randomly laying down on the floor because he was so overly tired. Yes, on the floor. In the airport. The dirty airport floor. Obviously, I took a photo before doing the logical thing like picking him up or getting him a blanket to lay on.
As you can see, we were done. We had fun for a few hours but now we needed to get this show on the road.
