I wanted to finally recap our Easter festivities…we were BUSY…
First off, an egg hunt and play date with little friends:
Snack time before the big hunt…
A certain someone would open the eggs, eat the candy, and throw the empty egg on the ground.
Off they go!
Ben liked to stand at the top of the hill and throw the eggs down the hill.
He quickly realized that it was much more fun to collect rocks than plastic eggs.
How cute is this?!
Everyone joined in on throwing rocks. They are too funny!
Next up, on Saturday morning, we went to another friend’s house for another egg hunt…
Look who found the treats in the Easter buckets Mrs. Debbie gave out… that boy is sneaky. 🙂
Waiting out front for the eggs to be hidden…look at Nathan snagging treats from someone else’s bucket. That’s my boy.
Nathan is inspecting this egg to see if it’s worth his time. He threw it open (can you see it in the air by his leg?) to check out the contents. His egg hunting skills CRACK. ME. UP.
I think Ben is missing his bucket. Just a hunch.
Ben (without a bucket) finding an egg out of reach. Thanks, Mr. Ryan for helping!
Hannah & Simon showing off their loot!
And, you won’t believe this, that afternoon we went to ANOTHER egg hunt. Our church hosted a community-wide Easter event on Saturday afternoon and we stopped in for a little while. The rain poured on us right after the egg hunt ….
The rain is coming…it had started raining lightly before the actual hunt…
Ben grabbing a few eggs before heading to shelter from the rain with me.
Caught in action. Again.
After we were rained out, we had friends over to eat the fried chicken we had planned for our picnic at the park and to just enjoy the afternoon together. It was so much fun – I love impromptu gatherings!
The boys LOVED fried chicken. They just liked to hold onto it and carry it around with them. Totally normal, right?
|The bounce house made it’s first outdoor appearance of the year!
Nate’s losing his pants. Details.
