The past five days have been a whirlwind. After flying to Orlando, I left immediately for Atlanta and spent the weekend at the Created for Care retreat just north of the city. Catch up on that amazing experience here.
All of the AGCI mama’s at Created for Care!
And, this morning, I flew from Atlanta to Chicago. I’m here for a sales meeting for work through Thursday. Then, I’ll fly back to Orlando to the arms of my precious little guys. I am ACHING to hold them again. To smell their hair and see their smiles and hear their laughs. This is WAY, WAY too long to be away from my boys.
In the meantime, I have been loving getting photos from my parents and my sister of all the adventures and fun they are having together. I had to share a few of the photos that literally get me through the day…
They went to this interactive children’s museum type place and Nathan was in his element in the digging area!! He takes after his daddy!
Ben loves trains…he is our little engineer. He looks like he’s studying the way the train works here.
And, Nathan has a hammer. He is SO his dad.
Ben checking out the grocery store…
And, Nathan pounding on the drums. Do you see a pattern here???
Lori sent me this one this morning. How tired do they look?! She is wearing them out!
Proof of the exhaustion!
I love this one!! Ben is cracking up at Lori’s dog, Bella.
They love these “motorcycles.” My dad found the one on the right on Craig’s list last week. A preemptive move to prevent fights. Genious.
|Grumpy Old Men’s Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. The beach version.

So here I am in Chicago. I love Chicago. this is the city where my college roomie and I headed for our post-graduation-get-out-of-town-celebratory-trip. This is the city where The Builder and I fell in love. This is the city where my heart melted and knew without question that he was “the one.” This is the city where I laughed and laughed with seven of my closest girlfriends last summer for our annual reunion trip.
I have spent a lot of time in this city. I have wonderful memories of times here shared with loved ones.
Which makes being here so painful. This place reminds me that the ones I love are not by my side. I long desperately to be home with my loves. Two more days until I see my sweet boys. Five more days until our whole family is reunited. I can hardly wait!!!!
