We waited to celebrate Charlotte’s 3rd birthday until this weekend so my parents, sister, and niece could be here. We had a low key Peppa Pig party with lots of sugar and little people running around. It was a perfect afternoon.
These girls were SO happy to be reunited again. Cousins are the absolute best and because these two are only 6 weeks apart, their relationship is adorable and special. Addi arrived a couple hours before the party started after they all drove 18 hours straight from Florida.
Party Details! 🙂
A month or so ago, Dave and I were visiting Dallas and found these cute little piggies at IKEA. Perfect party favors!
My friend, Cara, made the Peppa cookies. I can’t get over how cute they are! AND, they were delicious. All Charlotte asked for for her birthday was “cookies” so these fit the bill. 🙂
We had the party later in the afternoon so we just had lots of snacks (sugar, mostly) including mud puddles with worms, fruit salad, cookies, and toddler staples: gold fish and veggie straws. This was such an easy and low key party – it really was the most fun because set up and clean up were simple so the adults could enjoy the day along with the kiddos. 😉
Cara also made the cake. It tasted like a cloud of strawberry sugar sent straight from heaven above. I’m not exaggerating in the least. Also, I know it’s not Peppa but these pigs were super cute so I threw them on top.
The birthday princess woke from her beauty sleep just as guests were arriving. And, I asked for a picture. Amateur move.
To redeem the sleepy-head situation, we just let her dive right in to the cookies. Sugar makes everything better.
Commence swimming for kiddos and sweating in the heat for the adults…
Thanks to a Party City run the day before the party, we had a party game. Stick the cake on Peppa’s plate. Big hit with the little people!
Corralling littles for a photo while they wait for cake is not easy.
Thanks to my friend, Katrin, for gifting Char with a lollipop the size of her head. This photo documents the “can I PLLLEEEAASSEE eat this now, mommy?” face.
We had the sweetest day celebrating our little love. I still can’t believe she turned 3! She brings so much joy and laughter into our family and I loved celebrating her yesterday with our friends and family. <3
HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY, CHARLOTTE-LOVE!!!!
