Today, Kelly over at Kelly’s Korner is hosting another link up that fits our family…this time she is asking all mom’s to boys to link up over at her blog.
Well, I obviously fall into this category with these two perfect, rambunctious, adorable little fellas….
And, I have a true boy story to share. Yesterday morning we had a VERY scary incident happen.
I was changing Ben in the living room and suddenly heard a very loud crash and then a piercing scream. My heart dropped and I ran faster than I think I’ve ever run in my life to find Nathan. What I found made me shake and panic.
Nathan had pulled the entry way table over onto him. This is one of my all-time biggest fears. I had just had a conversation with Dave about bolting all of our furniture to the walls because these boys are monkeys and love to climb on everything.
Thankfully, he is fine. I think he pulled the drawer out and that hit him on the cheek and then pushed him back out of the way of the table. The table, the heavy candlesticks and clock all landed away from him.
He ended up with yet another battle wound: a bruised cheek and black eye.
|I had a hard time snapping a pic of the bruise…here he is saying, “Cheese!”
I think he’s kind of proud of himself for being so darn tough.
|This is the table (and contents) that he pulled over.|
This reminder of how fast and how curious these two are was a very scary one. We are now going to make some additional “toddler-proofing” adjustments in our house. We already added a lock at the very top of the front door once we learned that the boys could unlock and open the door all by themselves. They are our little explorers…
I hope you all have a wonderful Friday!
I am headed to Kansas City with some of my favorite girls to hear the awesome Beth Moore speak. I am so looking forward to this and am feeling extremely spoiled with all of these girl trips lately!
I can’t wait to share what I learn from this weekend! Katie is here to pick me up so I better sign off…:-)
