I recently learned about The Adoption Blogger Interview Project and was excited to sign on. I was randomly matched up with April from R. Sativus and given a chance to get to know her through reading her blog and exchanging emails. April’s writing is raw and real. And, yet, it is so incredibly hopeful. As I read her story, I was in awe of her strength and ability to move past heartache and disappointment and embrace the story being written for her family.
We joined over 100 other participants by interviewing one another about our adoption experiences. I hope you enjoy this interview with April…
Have you told Abby about your plans for adoption? How did you do so and how did she react?
So many women, including myself, have experienced the pain, grief, isolation and loss associated with infertility. What would you say to someone currently in the midst of this pain?
I love how you talk about adoption not being a “second choice,” can you share additional thoughts on this?
What have you enjoyed most about blogging and writing about your journey as a family?
