“Lent is a time period modeled after the forty days Christ fasted in the desert prior to being tempted by Satan. It is a time set aside to look at God’s call on our lives, to reflect and recommit to our own unique mission established by God, to review our commitments and obligations.” (emphasis mine).
So, I thought I’d share my latest project in case you’d like to be inspired to craftiness also: homemade coasters.
I used a combination of rub on letters and stamps to create my coasters. My coaster is just a simple bathroom tile. The Builder has loads of these in storage so I snagged a few for this project.
I used stamps for the letters of everyone’s names.
And adhesive corkstock for the backing on the coaster.
I measured and cut the corkstock for the back.
They stack really nicely with the corking on the back.
I used a spray stone sealer to seal my work.
|They turned out really cute…I included four coasters for four important events in their family:
Their marriage date and then each of their kiddos’ birthdays.
I included a tag explaining the coasters’ meaning (“Wells” is their last name)…
The finished product!
Ready to mail!
