I had to share this AWESOMELY FANTASTICAL (yes, more made up words – it’s what I do) email I received from our social worker last night…
Wanted to keep you updated. I forwarded your HS to Dillon with a few questions. M got back to me this afternoon and I have just sent my final second draft back to M at Dillon. She will review it again and forward it to AGCI.I’ll keep you posted on its progress! Thanks!
(I removed names to protect privacy).
Sooo, if our revised home study is approved by AGCI, we can then submit to USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) for a fingerprinting appointment!
The only problem is that it is taking an average of 2-3 weeks to get an appointment. I’m looking into whether or not we can just drive to the USCIS office in Ft. Smith without an appointment. Technically, the “rules” say no but I am all about breaking the rules :-).
Then, after we get our fingerprints from USCIS, we will be able to submit our dossier* to AGCI.
After dossier approval, we will FINALLY be placed on the wait list!!!!!!!!!!
Could I ask y’all to cover our home study in prayer? Would you pray for the home study to be approved so that we can keep moving along in the process? Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
*What is a Dossier? Dictionary.com defines it as…a collection or file of documents on the same subject, especially a complete file containing detailed information about a person or topic.
Here is a look at our Dossier Checklist (everything is complete, except #’s 3, 4 & 10):
