My sister-in-law and dear friends threw me the sweetest, most special little “sprinkle” for baby Luke this past weekend {last weekend was jam-packed – we had the boy’s birthday party, the girl’s dance recital and then Luke’s shower… I had also been having a lot of contractions and landed in the hospital for observation for a bit… but Luke is staying put for a little longer — 10 MORE DAYS!!!}.
I had to share some photos from the day for my own memories sake and because everything was SO CUTE! It really meant the world to me that the girls took time to celebrate our little guy. Let me tell you, when you have a gaggle of children, you work extra hard to make each one feel special and important and seen and known and loved. And, it is a lot of work. But, gracious, it’s important work. So the girls may not have known how much this would mean to me as they were planning but it truly, truly makes my heart swell with joy to kick off this little guy’s life with rejoicing and celebration!!
The sprinkle was held in our white barn at the Berry Farm and it was so beautiful and simple – lots of natural greens and whites. They carried the theme of Luke’s nursery into the barn and I just wanted to stay in there for hours, it was so peaceful and pretty!
After the shower finished, my mom and I worked to get all of the itty bitty clothes washed and put away and now the nursery is READY for little man!! I’ll share photos soon… it’s such a fun space and I’m still just trying to wrap my mind around the fact that we are having a baby in less than two weeks! I still can’t quite believe it.
Have an awesome weekend friends!!!
