Re-entry. The struggle is real y’all.
We just survived 18 hours in a car with four little people and one dog. Now, there are bags to unpack, mail piles to sort through, laundry to start, groceries to buy…etc etc etc. Instead of doing any of the above, I am procrastinating reminiscing by looking back through the photos from our last evening at the beach.
The week away wasn’t perfect – there were sibling squabbles and short tempers (pointing at myself here) – yet, when I look back on our trip, I hardly remember any of the sour moments, only the sweet ones remain front and center in my mind. I so hope my kiddos will look back and remember laughing along the water’s edge while tossing french fries to seagulls. I hope they’ll remember holding hands with cousins and chasing sand crabs. I hope they’ll remember watching the sun drift behind the horizon while marveling at the splendor of the light show in the sky.
These are the days… sweet, sweet days…
Here’s to a summer packed full of these sweet days…
